CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Hixson family needs your help locating the person who they say took a golf bag and clubs from their garage last week.

It happened last Thursday morning around 3:30 at a home in the Valleybrook neighborhood.

The owner, Marie Chinery, says a garage door was left open overnight and a thief stole the bag.

She says the bag and clubs were not worth a lot of money but had a special meaning to her.

Chinery said, “We moved to Valleybrook in 2014 because my husband loved to play golf, and he died in 2021, so he had like nine years to enjoy this golf course, and that bag was a part of him. He loved it. We went to The Master’s several times, so there’s a lot of Master’s Bag Tags on it.”

There is a video of a person walking down their driveway, and Chinery says a car drove towards Hixson Pike after stealing the bag.

A glove was also found in the mailbox after a reward sign was posted concerning the missing bag.

A reward of up to $750 is being offered for the return of the bag and clubs.

Chinery says if you have information on the missing bag to contact her at 423-504-8184.
