Friends of Germantown K9 to hold golf outing, run/walk for GTPD K9 Unit

GERMANTOWN — The Friends of Germantown K9 (FGK9) announced that they will be holding their first golf outing, the Guinness and Shamrock Golf Outing, at Blackstone Creek Golf Course, N112-W17300 Mequon Road, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 22 to raise funds for the Germantown Police Department K9 Unit, and they are currently accepting both participants and sponsors for the event.

According to FGK9, they will also be holding a Howl O Ween Pet Run Walk on Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Fireman’s Park, W162N11900 Park Ave., and registration is open for this event as well.

Currently, the FGK9 are looking for both golfers and sponsors for their golf outing at Blackstone Creek Golf Course. The outing also includes a tailgate at Bub’s Irish Pub, N116-W16218 Main St., Germantown, where there will be a silent auction and gun raffle.

"This is our first golf outing fundraiser and we are excited to be teaming up with Blackstone Creek and Bub’s Irish Pub," said the FGK9.

If you are interested in golfing in the event, the cost if $100 per foursome, which includes golf, a drink ticket and lunch. The tailgate, silent auction and raffle will begin at Bub’s Irish Pub after golfing has wrapped up.

Howl O Ween Run Walk

The Howl O Ween Run Pet Walk will take place a month after the Guinness and Shamrock Golf Outing on Oct. 28, but registration is currently open for the event, too.

According to FGK9, registration for the event costs $35 and includes participation in the run/walk, a T-shirt and goodie bag while enjoying a family event.

"Will have participants walk around the park with their pets, will have food vendors, activities for families and pets, plenty of pet vendors as well," said the FGK9.
